I create eco-conscious and one of a kind leather accessories for men and women.  I specialize in what I call "pro-impact" leathers that each have positive social and/or environmental attributes that are moving us in the direction of harmony with the planet that sustains us all.  The leathers I use include free-range, re-purposed and no chemical leathers, and a portion of the proceeds from my work goes to support wildlife conservation.

I began leather work straight out of high school working for my uncle when he was asked to make the knives for the main characters in the film, the Last of the Mohicans. After graduating from Appalachian State with no clear idea of “what I was going to do with my life”, I backpacked off to Guatemala where I spent a year as an international accompanier with a cooperative indigenous refugee community.  I returned home to find a craft cooperative had moved to town in my absence, so I quickly made a few pieces, juried in and I’ve been a leather artisan ever since.  I’ve done everything from “pig on a stick” to high end art and craft shows, to music festivals and wholesale shows. My work was featured in the Orvis Catalog for 5 years, and I am now mostly focused on selling my one of a kind bags and journals in a few small galleries and online while also building my line of corded deerskin lanyards and bracelets.

I’m a mountain girl through and through and feel blessed to finally be settled here in Blowing Rock, the place I’ve always called home and where my family goes back many many generations. Whether it’s gardening, jumping in a cold mountain stream, getting in wood for the winter or just sitting on the front porch listening to the Appalachians sing their sweet song… my favorite place to be is outside breathing in the fresh mountain air. I officially have a teenager now and caring for this planet for many generations to come is of the utmost importance to me. You can visit my website to for more on the leathers I use and the organizations I support.  I give thanks for your interest in my work and the opportunity to do what I love.
